Will Lopes’ creation KAGEBARA is a dramatic Butoh
dance performance in which the actor represents and
incorporates archetypes that form part of human
existence in moments of conflict, protest, warfare and
inner revolution that break open when confronted with
the inevitability of death. When the social being dies,
which layers of chaos, dreams, reason and madness
give wings to the free spirit dancing?

WORK
At the end of july the Director and body trainer Will Lopes resumed work with the Ares Performance Group for the preparation and creation of his newest show "CRU - On the Nature of the Human." The director intends to work choreographically and performatically from gross states of bodily presences.
"... it is like thinking the movement before aesthetics, before civilization, before language"
All body compositions will be exposed in vertical dance lines, flight techniques and elastic devices that characterize the work of the Ares group for a few decades. The work still does not have marked debut but must go to the paucos in the middle of June.
