About The Event
On opposite shores of the space stand two bodies — one from Japan, one from Brazil.Between them stretches a long, white sheet of paper, like a bridge linking the two countries.
In the audience’s hands are sketchbooks and pencils.Drawing artist Akira begins to capture the two bodies together with the audience.
Lines eventually fill the floor, dance through the air, and the space becomes saturated with a “map of the body.”Japan and Brazil, life and sketch, performer and audience —across every boundary, they arrive at a single, unique map that can only be found here.
